In the information era, the vital resource for the economic and social development of a country is the information. Particularly, the geographical information increased its importance regarding the growing efficiency of some daily activities. As a result, many countries continue spending considerable resources building the national geospatial data infrastructures. The main feature of the national geospatial data infrastructure is that it suppose a structure which employs and use extensive resources collections – from data and information in different formats, to knowledge, and to specialists from various domains – which must communicate among themselves by different techniques which should ensure fluency and safety in operation.
For having an imagine as precise as possible and for pointing out once again that the main idea behind the national geospatial data both for experts and involved institutions, consists in working together for attaining common designs, involving geospatial technologies and concepts, it must be made a close estimation of developing degree of (N)SDI.
Even if an evaluation methodology is still in discussion and involve organization’s strengths and weaknesses analysis, programs and staff involved, all the same it can be started from estimating the actual results by principle of certain criteria and associated metrics.
We’re thus inviting you to this event who’s propose is to evaluate and to bring up the actual affordable and plain national solution which were developed in view of supporting INSPIRE Directive and which come to enrich the knowledge about geospatial data infrastructures and to sustain the collaboration at a local level as for carrying and bringing up effective and new solutions.
Any interested party can participate to this event, no matter the branch they work is public or private , no matter the level work for – local or national.
As we did in the past editions, the presentations will have a very clear practical nature which consist in:
We’re very happy to invite you to participate to the third edition the conference dedicated to the national spatial data infrastructure.
